Originally, LED throwies were intended as a form of non invasive public art. They make great portable add ons to just about anything you want to light up. We offer a small kit every year to those interested in an inexpensive way to add lighting to ornaments, costumes and decorations. At $1.99, you can get three LED’s and the coin cell battery. We would love to se what use you can find for these too, please send us some pictures of you favorite throwie project on our Facebook or Twitter streams!

Ever wanted to go on a wild, absolutely mind bending adventure? Well now you can by refurbishing and retrofitting this awesome MAME cabinet! A wild ride indeed my friend, in-deed. While it comes with the original Jamma board, you might consider installing a new(er) CPU and going for this. There are about a thousand great uses for this when it comes right down to it. How many seem like they would fit in your apartment, game room, or garage? That is the question, isn’t it?

Black Friday? No, we refuse. It simply doesn’t sound fun. We all know what happens on the day after Thanksgiving, we wake up dazed from the food coma, look around and wonder if the daylight we see is still Thursday or if the day of reckoning is truly over. Then we go shopping. Black Friday ( yarr) has become known as the day when retailers unveil their newest hot stuff ready to malform stockings beyond their shape worldwide. To some this prospect invokes an impulse to lock themselves in the house.
We carry an ethic that we should have a perspective of value when we earn your business, we work hard every day to illuminate the value of your support at our store, and other local businesses do as well. Our relationship with you 365 days a year that should be meaningful and fun. We’ve chosen plaid as our color for this Friday, a Plaid Friday represents the diversity and creativity of independent businesses.
On Plaid Friday, we’ll be open from 10am to 7pm. We’ll have some snacks and door prizes ready, we’ll be having trivia contests in house, and have some great kits and new stuff we’d like to show off that might send your tinker’s heart a patter you’ve not heard in a while. We hope to see you in the shop and we’ll be continuing the celebration into the weekend, so please don’t hesitate to grace our doors!
For more information on the indy movement to put character and creative grassroots community back in the forefront of your shopping experience, check out the Plaid Friday website, they have lots of good ideas.
Here’s a list at some cool stuff we have in store for you on Friday;
-Industrial Defense Survival Kit (various industrial labeling and stickers) for $6.99
-Components Grab Bags for $4.99
-Super Cricket Robotics Kits for $29.99
-PCS RC2 Super Pack Kits for $59.99

All it needs are some glowing red eyes...
Intimus is a robot. It is a shredding robot that pulverizes files. Intimus is an archive’s worst nightmare. It’s document shredding capabilities put a good ol’ ancient library burning to shame. Launch it into space, and Intimus would begin to consume worlds.
